Back off me hols today.

Today was coming home day so not may pix taken - and it was wet and grey all the way home. This is a lovely little North Yorkshire village called Hutton-le-Hole where we stopped for breakfast.

What a charming village. Reminds me of Esholt. A few years ago on the way up to Scotland from Heathrow we spent a night in Bradford. Esholt wasn't far from our hotel and so we went there and had a meal in the pub. (Also a couple of pints.) Esholt is where the filmed some of the original outdoor scenes for the Emmerdale TV show.

wow, looks like the little british villages they show in the ww2 era movies. with the exception of a car in the first photo you'd be hard pressed to say what decade these were taken.
