Jake's Book Launch

One of my guitar students has had his first novel published, a story of love and death in Glasgow's criminal underground. We are all very proud of him. He asked me to play a couple of pieces at the launch last night, and to take some photos. I kept my experimental urges in check, and made a bunch of standard shots. About 80 people turned up for the launch.

Very normal for you Rob. I presume that the book he is signing is for you? I thought that was a nice touch and the second has plenty of character and warmth, nice.

Yes, it's for me. He was going to write "Keep on strumming", then decided on "Keep me strumming".

Nice shots and, well done Jake. Not showing on Amazon yet though.

Not yet. There is a Kindle version being prepared as well. He's with a small publisher, and they tend to deeply dislike Amazon, who take a very high margin, leaving the publisher almost nothing. Can't live with them, and probably can't live without them.
