A little late for summer - but maybe the terrible issues in Japan earlier in the year delayed things a little.
This is a super slimline pocketable camera, looking more like a phone with it's smooth casing and huge 3.2" screen.
It packs in 12.1 MP and a 12x Optical zoom, going to 28mm (equiv) at it's widest. It claims to be the world's thinnest camera with a 28mm lens...
Like the other new Canon - it sports intelligent IS, and an amazing ISO range 100 to 3200.
It also has full 1080 HD video and a 16:9 widescreen feature (I love widescreen!)
Lovely images from such a small camera
Should sell well to those who hate the bulk of a bigger camera - but want a decent range of features and a significant step-up from a cellphone camera.
Eye watering list price of $349.99!
