It was @Dan Cattermole who introduced me to the original NightCap app for iPhone? It was a few years ago now I think, but since then it has probably been the one constant in my iPhone photography app collection.
Ive used it most frequently for taking noise free images like this one of my Leica:

It's been a very useful app over the last few years, but I have a feeling it's going to get a little more useful!
As of thursday this week, the New NightCap and NightCap Pro will be launched.
You can read a little more about them on the new website (Made in part by my fair hand )

A little bit from Chris the developer:

You can see some more of the funky things it can do here: http://www.nightcapcamera.com/nightcap-pro/
I've been beta testing it for Chris for the last week or so, and so whilst it isn't on general release until thursday, I do have a very limited supply of pre-release download codes available... If you ask me really nicely I might let you have one!

A little bit from Chris the developer:
NightCap was the first (and for a long time only) app to do real long exposure photography on the iPhone, massively improving low light shooting and that made it a very popular app with photographers.
Since then other apps have caught up and can match NightCap, so it’s time to roll out NightCap Pro. It launches 17 April.
This is what it can do on an iPhone 5S (left: standard iPhone camera app, middle: NightCap, right: NightCap Pro).

The best you can expect from any other app (at least from the many I’ve tested) is that middle shot. It’s pretty easy to see why this is huge for iPhone photography.
There’s a lot more to the app - low light video recording, noise reduction, and more - see the website for full details, screenshots etc: http://www.nightcapcamera.com/
The pro version also has a few extra funky long exposure modes. I took this in broad day light on one of the long exposure modes:There’s a lot more to the app - low light video recording, noise reduction, and more - see the website for full details, screenshots etc: http://www.nightcapcamera.com/
