Pacific Surfliner at Del Mar

Beautiful late afternoon sunshine here today.

Went down the coast to photograph the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner again, this time as it passed over San Dieguito Lagoon on the trestles at Del Mar.

These things are so fast, and so quiet, I only managed to get two shots off as it hit the key point in frame.

I prefer the 16:9 crop best, it seems to give the train a bit of space to drive into.

Are those double-decker carriages on the train?

Glen - yep, they run double decker 'California' cars on the surfliner - means you can go up top and get a great view when traveling.
