Super Moon!

Just thought I'd see if anyone had photographed the super moon?

I had my try at it earlier this evening but I've been out and on my feet for about 12 hours today so I am a wee bit too tired to PP my super moon images, tomorrow perhaps I'll get a few prepped and uploaded so I can share them, but if anyone else captured images of the moon please feel free to contribute to this thread...

i've tried before and it came out ok, i don't think we'll have a clear sky in scotland for a while so no joy for me... last time I used a manual 300mm with x2 converter

Super moon ... What makes it more super than normal?

Its at its orbit's closest point to the Earth, so it is a bit bigger. It's also a full moon. Best viewed I hear before it rises too high off the horizon.

Brian yeah that is the new San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge being built, just a few days before this shot they finished running all the suspension cables, what you are seeing is the main and single column that is supporting these cables I can't wait to photograph it when it's completed (I am a total geek when it comes to architectural design)
