David Mitchell gave me this roll of film, I thought it was going to be pretty rubbish, but im actually quite please with the images. These were all taken with the olympus trip 35. - a few more thoughts on the film on my blog if you are interested: Trip 35 and some very cheap film and Connie.

Not bad for super cheap film is it ... cheers David!

The reds are clipped in the shot of her with the flower, i guess that must be scanning so I expect there are some shortcomings of it ... not sure about highlights though, hard to say. Ive loaded the trip with a roll of reala now as comparison, should be interesting to see how the trip fares with some actually good film

I came across a roll of expired Agfa film last year. Actually, it was sold under the name of a large pharmacy chain or something--can't remember exactly--but anyway, I always like to know who actually made the film (usually it's Fuji, and easy to tell thanks to the typical Fuji colored striping along the rebate). I found that the stuff I had was actually Agfa, which I had never shot. I was very impressed by the rich colors.

Nice shots Hamish.

delightful photos Hamish, I love the pose as she comes through the door in #4, but the shot of her dozing with the dogs in the patch of sunlight is just lovely!

Awwwww - #2 looks so retro, could have been the 60s or 70s.

You captured some lovely moments there Hamish - sleeping doggies is great

The Trip makes capturing that moment possible - because you just point and shoot - nothing to adjust other than zone focus

Top dollar!!
I've just picked up 6 rolls of Agfa!
Love it! I'm just posting a thread now using that film.

Have you gotten pretty good at iding film then Brian? Are there other tips? Maybe you could share some with us?
There is so much speculation about this film online ... I wonder if they had multiple suppliers? I don't even know how many companies actually make colour film these days. I guess fuji make a lot of it, but there must be differences between what they lable as fuji and what they palm off on these other companies.

Very nice photos, Hamish, and she's just beautiful! I'm still getting the hang of this analog thing... I'm all rusty!

bah, it's easy, easier than digital, there is much less to think about ;)

Thanks Andew

agreed, I've been shooting with it loads lately for that very reason ... Takes a bit of practice to get confidence back in the choosing of the right setting for closer work. Getting back into it though ...

from poundland?

Oooohh, I didn't really pay attention assuming that it couldn't get any better than 24's.
This is where you tell me there are 36's now.

... Not been yet. Was going to pop in later. Most likely 24's at the price though eh.
Im really after some Kodak gold, want to see how it fairs against the more expensive films. Everywhere I try in town just seems to stock that colour plus stuff

Nice! Which tesco was that then? Might go and have a look my self!
That would be ace if you can spare it, I'll even give you a quid for it .. Hearty profit there!

These are my favourites too, but they are all stunning. Somehow they capture the innocence of childhood. I tried to follow you (or whatever you call it on your blog), but it seems it only works if you are on Twitter, Facebook or something similar. Am I right?

It was the Tesco in the Lypards. But I can assure you that there is no more left. I have been keeping an eye on that section ever since.
I don't want anything for it. You've done enough favours for me. I'll drop it off this evening if you like.
Lucky really, I got it out of the draw and was ready to stick it in the Halina. Lol.

If you can pop it in the office sometime you can pick up that m42 50mm lens I promised you!
