Twistleton Scar

Otherwise know as Zooey
How could I forget this day? It was barely five degrees when I left the comfort of the car and just a little further on from this tree I encountered horizontal hail. I was up there for over three hours and there were times I had to force myself to get moving again. Holding the camera was almost impossible with frozen fingers, so heaven only knows how I got this one.

All in all, one of the best days I've ever had :)

I love the foreground detail with the rocks, the way the tree shows the wind and weather in it;s twisted growth, and the calm moors beyond to the left.

That's a beauty! Ticks all the boxes! That would be on my wall at 20x16 if I'd taken it :)

Fantastic again!! These deserve alot more credit than I can give.
Have you pushed any of your images forward at all? Competitions? Sales? Anything like that?

Funny you should mention that. The web site I bought had sales included, but as soon as the redone images are ready, the sales are going. You don't sell like that, but regardless, the whole thing stresses me out. I worry in case something won't print well, so a lot aren't for sale anyway and all the good printers I know are closing down. I did an exhibition just for the experience a few years ago. Anybody can do it and we had a lot of fun. I sold a few and the rejects are currently on our study walls. I do one competition a year, but it's getting ridiculously expensive. It's a good exercise in selecting suitable images though :)
