I bought @Rob MacKillop's Sigma dp2 and dp3 the other day. Im putting the dp2 through its paces first.
This is one of my first shots.

Converted to black and white in sigma software - which might be crap, in terms of interface, but WOW it does a good job at black and white conversion!

Thanks Rob, so far very happy!!

Well, that beats everything I've ever done with it. Seriously good shot, Hamish!!! I'm so pleased it's in good hands. The toning is perfection.

Cracking first shot from the DP2 there. I do like portraits where the sitter is looking out of frame. :)

Cheers Pete, me too

I'm not sure about that Rob, but i will take the compliment, thanks! :)

Hmmm. Maybe I should have taken the DP2! Fine image, H. Thought it was shot on film.

(Looking forward to the arrival of the DP1.)

It seems very easy to make photos that look like XP2 Brian, I barely did anything in the sigma software to make this happen!
I would have had all three if it wasnt for you snaffling the dp1 ;)

It was certainly a smashing deal for the three of them, H. Sorry to spoil it for you.

A wonderful portrait Hamish no matter what camera. I can't comment on the rest as the eagle in me unfortunately have spotted the gruesome vultures about:mad:. And as one knows, we eagles do not mingle with riff raff, but we might eat them raw if they get too close:rolleyes:.

Yes. I am actually pleased about that, especially as they went to Hamish and Brian. Those two are so incompetent, generally speaking, that they need all the help they can get. As we can see from the above, Hamish has finally created a photograph worth looking at. I can't wait to see if the Merrill Magic works with Brian. :)
