X100

wow your guys are brilliant, I knew i could count on RPF

Jim that first diagram well confused me at first but i kind understand what its one about with the different size sensors, cheers

Pete, great that's the info i needed in simple terms hehe, i can see the approx filed of view now on my x10 so i kinda know what to expect.

Pat, awesome, thanks for taking the time to take them pics to show me what to expect, greatly appreciated

the menus system i guess will be pretty similar so wont be so much of a learning curve in that respect.

so cannot wait until xmas day lol

dont you just hate that when you get sommat new waiting for battery to charge before you can play with it hahaha

LMAO @ KK we had this discussion on FB mate................ NO WAY lol

right DILEMMA time folks, i can get the x-pro1 for £719.99 refurbed from fuji site this include 10% discount code, now my work are paying for new fuji x100 at around £600, so i am thinking i could use this allowance & put some cash to and get a refurbed x-pro1 & also i would need to buy a Fujifilm 35mm XF f1.4 R X-Mount Lens for £420

so should i let work buy X100 or should i use the money & put some to upgrade to the x-pro1

I am defo tempted to the upgrade :-) putting extra cash towards the works budget aint a problem really

HELP LOL

Without a doubt, I'd go for the X-Pro. You have a good quality compact and I guess, later on, you could always trade that in for a X100 if you still want one. But then I shoot mostly with an RF rather than either an SLR or a compact.

X-Pro1 all the way - it's a steal at that price

I love the X100 - it's killer

But X-Pro1 is killer+, if that makes sense :D

i knew you would have a great but complex opinion & take on the situation that would completely confuse me Chris :o

sounds like killer + is the way forward :)

cheers

Pro. Fuji UK are also giving a free case at the moment with the refurb so at that price it is even more of a steal. The X100 at £450 after the 10% discount is a real steal too.

I contemplated the Pro before getting the black edition X100 but whilst my heart and voices in my head repeatedly told me to press the order button, my wallet kept reminding me that all those extra lenses which I would have to get, would incur the immediate wrath of the COS and result in me adopting a high pitched voice whilst certain appendages recovered from a well aimed kick.

But, if I were able to subsidise the purchase to the tune of £600 I would not have even asked My Learned friends on the forum for their advice. I would have got the pump action Visa card out and sold my soul to that most desirable bit of kit.

Actually, after discussions...the best I can hope for is the wide-angle conversion for my X100. Maybe next year I'll step up to the Pro or similar. Julian's OMD is tempting also. Do they do refurbs as well?

I think the wide angle is the way I will go too.

£229 delivered tax paid from the UK branch of Digitalrev. Bought off them in the past, seamless transaction.

wont bother changing the title of this thread but

I just ordered my X pro1 :-) will be hear tomorrow but the lens i ordered elsewhere wont be here for about a week. I went for the 35mm lens to start me off.

The camera has to go to father xmas before i can get my hands on it as works paid for it , sooooooooooooooooooooooo cant wait until the 25th December hahahaah
