Backlit Shot

I've never seen the pond like this before, the water was green with some kind of algae or something. Maisy went to have a look and with the sun low it just seemed like a really nice backlit shot to take. I knew Mrs L would like it too and it's always good to earn a few brownie points. Usually she thinks my photo's are just plain weird.

Very strange Paul..... I love the shot but the explaination with the pond is bizarre. Lol.
Now.... If that was me.... I'd put my mask on... Jump in... and ... Forget it.. Just forget it ! Hahahahaaa!!!

Ooh, no pete, I do! I need more encouragement. Haha!!

There is a pond like this in nunnery wood Dan ... It always confuses my dogs as they think they can run on it ... they obviously cant and end up covered in stinky swamp water

Ill tell you what makes this shot - the natural framing
I might try b&w?

I was going to try different black and white variation but remembered that I have some LR presets that give a retro feel similar to that used in Asun's photograph of the bride and come up with this. I also brightened the image up a bit as well.

It's a lovely photo, Paul, but the stripe across the water looks odd to me. By that I mean doesn't look like light reflecting off water. It looks more like some kind of opaque substance on the water. (The bit to the left looks like light reflecting off the water, though.)
