You know, I might just occasionally book this place for their Epson 4800. £12 for a day pass, and I can print loads at once.

If you can that sounds good. Do you take your own paper? Add the right profile and use a laptop and that could be a good solution.

it's the roll feed that appeals to me about the epsons... with the whole panorama thing i think the roll would be good

You could pre-cut a sheet and create a custom size page Davie. The sheet fed machines are significantly more compact. However, if you have space, don't discount a floor standing machine. The are compact front to back as the prints drop into the 'basket' underneath.

Dye-based inks though, so not as stable - which may not be an issue. As you say, there are some positive reviews though.

It depends how much printing you intend to do. Although the ink set seems expensive to buy, the price per 'print' is about as low as you can get. They are also a S/H prospect.

Not wishing to hi-jack this thread, but I notice you mention B&W Photography Magazine...

This is the only mag I occasionally purchase and just wondered if anyone else still buys magazines, and if so, which ones...???

I got B&W Photography for a year, but didn't renew my subscription as it was a bit samey after a while, I thought. Plus they told me they were going to feature my website, then never did But that has nothing to do with my not renewing the subscription
