I Don't Believe It

I would have crossed you off my Christmas card list, Pete, but after getting my money back this morning, I bought another Hexar. Surely third time lucky?! This one is coming from Denmark - close enough to go over and beat the bejaysus out of the seller if it falls through  I'm determined to get one. Expensive, though, at £256 including postage, but in excellent condition, apparently. But a lens of this quality alone would cost more than that, and I like the idea of a fixed-lens camera.

I've been bored with my own photography for a couple of months, apart from the Velvia/RB67 combination. Time for a shot in the arm, so to speak; something new and exciting.

Fingers well and truly crossed!

I hope it goes well, Rob and this time you get the camera safe and sound. In regards to prices being cheaper in the UK this is something I have noticed quite a bit. While in some countries prices often are lower (the USA for Example, but not always), many places I have been to are quite expensive for electrical goods compared to UK. Dubai is supposed to be one of the great shopping destinations and many people in Asia go there to buy goods to take back home. I found Dubai to be very expensive compared to UK and a lot of people were quite shocked when I told them.
