lolol Nooooooooo, what could have happened with your card darren might be what happened with mine few months ago if recently you have used it for large purchases over a short period of time, they decline them as a fraud protection because the spending habit of the card is maybe different to normal, thats what they told me which I though ok fair enough one call sorted it no probs like

yeah same here laurie cos i bought i phone few months back, then canon 100-400 & now another £2700 on Canon 7D & 70-200mm F2.8........which should be here monday woop woop

yeah suppose it is a good thing really with the bank innit safety and all that, happened when we bought the three teles and two ps3's quick call sorted it tho, you selling the 40d or keeping as spare body which is deffo a good idea

24-105mm not compatible??? How so???

As far as I know it's just EFS lenses that don't work on full frame bodies - EF lenses work on all bodies I thought????

Congrats on your order though - it's going to be hell waiting for that delivery!!!

i was confused also chris.....i think he was meaning it was designed for a full frame camera, and due to crop factor i would loose a fair bit at wide end of lens......kinda put me off so i going to hire one in future & see what i think of it first b4 i buy it.

not sure Laurie weather to sell 40d or keep it as a back up..........

worth keeping as back up I reckon

I think if I was buying a new 7D I would use my big lens on that and still keep my 450D with the Macro lens on it.
But that's just me....

Of course, once you've seen the images from the 7D.... ;)

well me new Canon 7D has arrived along with my 70-200mm F2.8 cant put it down playing with it......!!

Will get out & grabs some sample pics tomoz.......woop woop

Congratulations in advance!

I've used the 100-400 for several years and have learned to love it. The push-pull slide seemed very funky at first, but now I'm very fast with it. This has been a great lens for me and I love the stuff I've shot with it. For being a zoom, it doesn't get much better than this. My wildlife shot have wonderful color as well as great detail. The IS works very well and make this hunk something you can handhold easily. I do shoot it off a tripod most of the time but I'm not the least bit shy about hand-held shot for birds on the fly.

Have fun with your new toys!

Dennis
